Congressman Mike Turner Supports Joint Project Between Miami Valley Career Technology Center and Habitat for Humanity

Congressman Mike Turner, 3rd Congressional District of Ohio, will be supporting this year's joint Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC)/Habitat for Humanity Project. Through a national program called "Congress Building America," each Congressman has been challenged to support a Habitat for Humanity project in his or her congressional district.

"This is the fifth house that the MVCTC Construction Trades program has done for Habitat," said Frank Gorman, DOHH Executive Director. "Having Congressman Turner lend his support this year further strengthens the partnership and shows a genuine commitment to affordable housing."

Congressman Turner was on hand at MVCTC with future homeowner Yvonne Lloyd on December 18th to kick off the project. Support for the project is also being provided by Liberty Savings Bank, Unibilt Industries, Yale Industries, and the Home Builders Association of the Miami Valley. The project is expected to be completed by the end of July.
